With the rapid rise in uncertainty due to COVID-19, the Government of Australia has responded by unveiling a comprehensive $ 2.4 billion health package which includes support for telehealth. Major amendments in the telehealth sector have also been envisioned and made into practice by the Department of Health to continue support to our medical community and provide consultations to the vulnerable sections of our society.
Our new telephonic consultations will now deliver an alternative option to speak to our doctors about your health concerns without visiting our medical centers at a time where social distancing is a key to fight the virus. We are excited to announce that this facility is extended across the city of Adelaide and rural South Australia, which we are proudly servicing for years.
Medical Benefits Schedule (MBS) and the Department of Veteran’s Affairs (DVA) now allows doctors and mental health professionals to deliver consultations via phones to all patients provided you are eligible for bulk billing. However, certain eligibility criteria have been enforced by the Government to provide fair assistance to the people who need it the most. For more information on your eligibility, visit https://www.health.gov.au/.
